Yoga & Culture Retreat:
Angkor Wat in Cambodia

I’m partnering with John Shors (International Best Selling Author) to curate and facilitate this special Adventure into the magical land of Cambodia. Cambodia is the home of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site considered and marveled by many as one of the most important archaeological and architectural wonders of the world. A journey not to be missed in this lifetime, Angkor Wat is located roughly five miles north of the modern Cambodian city of Siem Reap, which has a population of more than 200,000 people.

Cambodia -- Angkor Wat at sunset - pro - small

As we kick off the 2023 New Year, in this retreat we will leave behind the accumulated pressures of life back home, explore an ancient civilization, learn about the ways Buddhism and Hinduism collided to create this unique culture, and personally practice through masterfully led yoga and meditation classes.

This is a trip that promises to expand your world view, and even the view of your self. An experience that introduces you to new people, new beginnings, and contagious joy, bringing hope in a sometimes dim-seeming world.

Explore. Learn. Connect. Grow.

For 2,000 years Cambodia’s civilization absorbed influences from India and China and, in turn, transferred them to other Southeast Asian civilizations. The Khmer (Cambodian) empire reached its apex in the 12th century, a time marked by the construction of the massive temple known as Angor Wat.

The temple walls are decorated with thousands of sculptures and carvings representing important deities and figures in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Built in the 1100s, the gorgeous and inspiring temple complex is the national symbol of Cambodia and holds great pride for the Khmer culture. The ancient rulers of Cambodia competed to outdo each other in the scale and size of their building efforts, culminating in the world’s largest religious building.

Your experienced retreat leaders Hawah Kasat and John Shors have traveled the globe leading retreats for small and large groups to places such as Iceland, Peru, India, Nepal, Bali, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. You can count on them to share their vast knowledge while supporting you with laughter and attentiveness on this fun adventure.
